Kiosk 42 and 43: Armenian Patriarchate, Kumkapı, Istanbul. Two monoplexes side-by-side containing chairs and security guards.

In 1461, the Ottomans appointed the first Istanbul Armenian patriarch, but it wasn't until well into the Republican era that the diocese came to encompass two adjacent plastic sheds to watch over several centuries of religious tradition.
