The increasing popularity of dogs for pets (and by extension as status symbols) in the city has necessitated the addition of this annex for a car park guard dog. The animal is lucky to have a large stretch of concrete on which to play and to foul.
However, revelers exiting the Şişhane metro station must tread carefully as they lurch towards the fashionable Tünel area, where many dogs can be found - mostly in what used to be nice bars.
