Kayapinar near Diyarbakır

This wreck is located in Diyarbakır's satellite city of Kayapinar, a post-civilisational collection of high-rise apartment blocks with names such as Diamond City. Proper paved roads do not exist, as yet, but hypermarkets do. Between 1991 and 2011, the population expanded from 3,000 to 300,000 as people fled the fighting between the Kurdistan Workers Party and the Turkish military.
