One could be forgiven for thinking that these bucolic pictures weren't taken in the megalopolis of Istanbul. But are these sinister guard huts meant to keep out the riffraff or keep in the residents in the leafy neighbourhood of Levent? We at the TKP suspect that they serve a purpose much like Rover the weather balloon in the cult 1960s television series The Prisoner.
