Oz Nişantaşı Taksi

Our correspondent writes:
"Faux-brick is what sets this "double-wide" kiosk apart from its contemporaries. Yes, it contains an Ataturk photo, teapot, all-weather indoor carpeting and seating for 8-10 swarthy taxi drivers. But it is the carefully taken time to hand paint the brickwork design of the exterior that makes this particular kiosk a joy to behold.

"Situated in the posh neighborhood of Istanbul's Nisantasi district, lucky drivers can be assured of simple, close and lucrative fares from here to various shopping malls and the occasional airport run to serve the well-heeled ladies of the neighbourhood. They may even receive the occasional tip for lugging shopping bags from the boot to the doorman patiently waiting to carry the loot upstairs."
