Since the AKP government announced plans to slash funding for theatre, Turkey's playwrights, actors and directors have been devising creative strategies to keep the public watching plays, one person at a time in these intimate micro-theatres.

The programme thus far has included smash hits such as "The Producer,""Blood Brother," "The History Boy," Shakespeare's "One Gentleman of Verona," and the musical "Cat."
