Four Seasons Taxi Hut, Sultanahmet

Kiosk 59: Four Seasons taxi hut, Sultanahmet. Set upon a marble plinth, this kiosk contains a wealth of taxi-related material, including schedules, licence numbers, myriad documents and, incredibly, maps of the city, as well as domestic equipment for any non-taxi-related eventualities - the need for refrigeration, dust removal, refuse gathering, soap opera viewing and canine recognition.

Like the inmates of the Ottoman prison that is now the luxury hotel to the right, the taximen's arcane knowledge is imprisoned within the wood-effect proto-kiosk, never to be revealed (except to these two geezers).
